WED 3/20 – Office Hours Schedule/Optional Assembly; Scholar Quiz Finals during 2nd period in the Auditorium
THU 3/21 – Principal’s Tour at 9 am in the Admin Office; March Madness Spike Ball Tournament at lunch in the Mustang Mall; Dessert Theater at 7 pm in the Small Theater
FRI 3/22 – March Madness Spike Ball Tournament at lunch in the Mustang Mall; Eclectic Ensemble performance at 7 pm to 9 pm in the Small Theater

STUDENT INFO
· Come to STEM Night on Tuesday, March 26 from 6 – 8 pm in the Mira Costa High School Cafeteria. There will be notable speakers from Engineering, BioTech, Cybersecurity, and Media/Entertainment industries as well as informative and interactive booths. The goal of this event is to enhance students’ and the local community’s understanding of STEM fields and opportunities, inspire career paths, and showcase Costa’s STEM offerings. All are welcome!
· Incoming Juniors and Seniors: Earn college credit with no AP exam. Honors Earth Science is the place to be. Four major fields of study are Astronomy, Oceanography, Meteorology and Geology. See Mr. Kurz in Room 238 or email [email protected] for more details.
· Costachella Auditions: Email a video of your music talent to [email protected]. Video auditions are due by March 20.
· The Neptunian Woman’s Club is sponsoring its 40th Student Art and Photography Contest for grades K-5 (art) and 6-12 (art and photography). Deadline for submission to the school office is Friday, May 10, 2019 before 3:00 pm. An awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 19 at 1:00 pm in the Neptunian clubhouse, Manhattan Beach. CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS
· Come to the Young Survival Coalition Club in Room 73 every other Monday to help spread awareness about breast cancer!
· South Bay Tech Trek Alumnae Group: Come listen to women in various professional STEM fields discuss their careers and pathways! Saturday, March 23 at Redondo Beach Library from 1 to 3 pm. Co-sponsored by AAUW, TTAG, and Redondo Beach Public Library.

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
· Schedule a one-on-one appointment with one of our credentialed college counselors. Call 310-318-7337 ext. 5253 or email [email protected]. *Juniors – the Spring Semester is an ideal time to meet with a CCC Counselor.
· College Representative Visits In The CCC – If visit is during class please get teacher permission to attend. This is an opportunity to learn about your schools of interest and meet the admission counselors. View all visits and sign-up to attend on NAVIANCE. Please bring your school ID.
o Wednesday, 3/20 – El Camino College 12:30pm – 2:00pm. The priority registration deadline is approaching! Come to the CCC to make an appointment to complete all necessary steps for priority registration; Biola University at 12:30pm (PM Office Hours)
o Thursday, 3/21 – National Guard Information Table at 12:20pm outside the CCC.
· Local Event
El Camino Day – Saturday, March 16 at 8:30 am; check in at the East Dining Room, 2nd Floor of Bookstore Building. Complete Orientation, take Assessment Survey, meet with a Counselor to create an Educational Plan, learn about Student Support Programs. · Featured Summer Programs
o UCSD School of Medicine Emerge Conference – Do you want to be a doctor someday? Emerge is a hands-on, immersive medical conference for students ages 14 to 20 taught by a huge team of world-class doctors and nurses. June 21, 2019. Register online at: www.emergetheconference.com.
o Grammy Camp is a five-day, non-residential Summer Music Industry program for high school students interested in having a career in music. Hosted by the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music (USC), students from across the country apply for one of eight offered career tracks. July 23 – 27, 2019.
