· Attention Juniors: TODAY, Feb. 27, there will be an informational presentation about senior English classes in the Small Theater during AM Office Hours. Teachers will provide background about your various scheduling options for next year: Senior Seminars, English 12 CP, and AP Literature. If you’re interested in learning more about your possible English paths before registration rolls around in March, we encourage you to attend.
· The Neptunian Woman’s Club is sponsoring its 40th Student Art and Photography Contest for grades K-5 (art) and 6-12 (art and photography). Deadline for submission to the school office is Friday, May 10, 2019 before 3:00 pm. An awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 19 at 1:00 pm in the Neptunian clubhouse, Manhattan Beach. · JUNIORS – Boeing Internship Opportunity Mira Costa High School Juniors have a unique opportunity to participate in a highly selective summer internship at Boeing. If you are interested in applying, it is mandatory that each student and a parent attend the information session on Tuesday, March 5 at 5:30pm in the CCC. It is required that you sign up on Naviance.
· College Representative Visits In The CCC – If visit is during class please get teacher permission to attend. This is an opportunity to learn about your schools of interest and meet the admission counselors. View all visits and sign up to attend on NAVIANCE. Please bring your school ID.

El Camino Day – Saturday, March 2, 8:30am check-in. Complete orientation, take an assessment survey, meet with a counselor to create an educational plan, and learn about student support programs. Free parking in Lot C on Manhattan Beach Blvd. Sign-up at bit.ly/eccevents.

· SoCal Roc – The SoCal Roc Counselor is available in the CCC on Monday mornings to share program information and help you register for classes. Sign up in the CCC to learn more.
· Free Practice ACT or SAT on Campus
Revolution Prep is offering a FREE full-length SAT or ACT at Mira Costa – Choose either test. Saturday, March 2 at 9am – 12:30pm; Mira Costa High School – Rooms 14 and 16. Bring: pencils, calculator, water and a snack.
