STUDENT INFO
· We have a few Prom 2018 Photos at the front desk in the Office. If you did not receive your pictures, come by to pick them up! Tell your graduated friends, as well.
· Are you interested in visiting one of the most fascinating places on Earth? Then come to an informational meeting in Room 73 at lunch for our trip to Peru during Ski Week 2019!
· Come see the first art show of the year. AP Studio Art presents “Mom and Dad Liked It.” The show is open TODAY through Sept. 21 in the Gallery, Room 60.
· COSTA RICA Spring Break 2019 meeting at lunch on Wednesday, 9/12 in Room 72 with The Geczis. Pura Vida!
· Attention Seniors: If you have a current parking permit/tag, you must park ONLY in unmarked spots in the student lot. Students who park in staff spots will be ticketed and called out of class to move their vehicles. If you do not have a parking permit, you may not park in any of the campus lots.
CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS
· Returning NHS members: There will be a brief informational meeting in the MPR on 9/20 to address procedural changes and new requirements for the club enacted this year.
· Come to Drama Club every Wednesday at lunch in Room 1 to learn all about upcoming events in the MCHS Drama/Tech Department!
· IMPROV CLUB! IMPROV CLUB! IMPROV CLUB! IMPROV CLUB! IMPROV CLUB! IMPROV CLUB! IMPROV CLUB! Room1 Tuesdays (TODAY) at lunch. Be there.
· In need of community service hours or just want to make new friends? Come to Key Club in Room 48 TODAY! Donut holes will be provided!
· Math Club meetings are held every Tuesday (TODAY) at lunch. Come to Room 131 if you want to improve your skills, learn new concepts, and compete against other mathletes! All levels of math are welcome.
· Chemistry Club: Are you interested in science and do you want to participate in science extracurricular activities? Well, this is the club for you! (By the way, there’s free food!) Stop by Room 342 at lunch on Friday!
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER

· College Representative Visits In The CCC – If visit is during class please get teacher permission to attend. This is an opportunity to learn about your schools of interest and meet the admission counselors. View all visits and sign-up to attend on NAVIANCE. Please bring your school ID.
o TODAY, 9/11 – University of the Pacific at 10:23am, Whittier College at 11:25am, University of Delaware at 12:20pm(lunch), University of Kansas at 1:00pm.
· SENIORS – Visit the CCC for College Application Assistance:
o College Personal Statement Revision – Please bring in a hard-copy of your essay if you would like feedback from one of the counselors. Typically essays are completed within 2-3 business days.
o Walk-in Wednesdays for help with applications, essay revisions and to have your questions answered! No appointment necessary. Walk-In Hours are on Wednesdays, from 3PM to 5PM.
· PSAT TESTING FOR JUNIORS AND SOPHOMORES – *Registration Deadlines*
Late registration is available TODAY, September 11. Cost is $35
The test will begin at 7:00am on October 10 at MCHS. To register online, please go the MCHS website and click on the PSAT icon. After you register online, bring your receipt to the CCC to pick up your PSAT Study Guide. To register in person – Registration is available in the CCC until 3:00PM – Payment by check made out to MCHS or cash only. Please contact the CCC with any questions.
· Local Events: For a list of local college events please visit the MCHS Website, click on the “College” tab, select “College and Career Center” and “Events and Auditions.”
· SoCal Roc is now enrolling for the fall 2018 semester. Classes began Monday, Sept. 10. Come to the CCC to sign up and learn more about the classes we offer.
