STUDENT INFO
· PHYSICAL FITNESS TESTING for current 10th and 11th grade students: Due to the SBAC testing and class schedule change, please come to the foyer of the Gym on your assigned day. We will be testing from 7:00 am to 2:45 pm TODAY and Thursday, May 24.
· Check out Room 60 this Friday, May 25 at lunch to see the final AP Art Show! Snacks will be served.
· Yearbooks will be distributed in early June. The last day to reserve a yearbook is Friday, May 25. Yearbooks will be sold on an as-available basis for $125 CASH ONLY after reserved students have picked up their books. If you want to make sure you get a book when your grade level is distributed, ORDER NOW. Any questions? See Mrs. Cessor in the Student Store.
· NEED COMMUNITY SERVICE? LUNCHES WITH LOVE's LAST delivery of the school year is Sunday, June 3. Please drop off your hygiene kits in front of Super Sports between 8 and 8:30am. · Please visit your counselor by Thursday, May 24 if ONE of the following conditions is true regarding your schedule for NEXT YEAR (2018-2019):
1. If your counselor told you to come back to see them in December regarding a second semester schedule change
2. If you are connecting a semester class with a sport
3. If you are repeating one semester only of a year-long class
4. If you are only taking a TA class for one semester
5. If you are taking a different number of courses in semester one (Fall) than in semester two (Spring)
*Remember all course request changes are final as of May 24. We will not be honoring any changes after this date.
· The Boys vs. Girls Comedy Sportz Match is THIS FRIDAY at 7 pm in the Small Theater for $5!
· Author Visit coming to MCHS Library! Costa grads Emily Wibberely & Austin Siegemun-Broka will be at here the morning of Tuesday, May 29. They will be discussing their brand new novel, Always Never Yours. You can preorder a copy of the book to be delivered on the 29th to MCHS on the library website.
· Prom 2018 “Bright Lights, Big City” will be held June 2, 2018 at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles. Purchase your tickets now at the Student Store or purchase a ticket voucher at the ASB Web Store https://mchswebstore.myschoolcentral.com. College applications don’t have to be overwhelming! This workshop will break down the college application process into small, approachable steps, and give you a timeline of what you should be doing during each month. Use your summer to get ahead in the process, and reduce your stress!
o Wednesday, 5/30 at 5:00pm – Understanding the Selective College Admission Process
o Thursday, 5/31 at 2:00pm – Essay Writing Workshop
o Tuesday, 6/5 at 5:30pm – International College Options
This series will be most helpful for juniors and their parents, however all grade levels are welcome to attend!
· SoCal Roc is now enrolling for an El Camino Summer Bridge course (classes begin July 9) and the Fall 2018 semester (classes beginning September 10). Come to the CCC to sign up and learn more about the Summer Bridge course and the classes we offer.
