· NEW: Attention Next Year’s Seniors 2018-2019! Registration begins THIS WEEK for student parking lottery for the 2018-2019 school year. Interested students should register online at the MCHS ASB Web Store. There is no cost to sign up, and you will receive a receipt for registration. Please review the Parking Permit Guidelines posted on the MCHS Website before registering.*Please note: This is a lottery for students who will be seniors ONLY. It is NOT first come/first served. If you are selected you will be notified via email and provided further instructions. Any students having difficulty registering online should contact Donna Cessor in the ASB Finance Office.
· NEW DATE: Attention Students! Come to the Mustang Mall this Wednesday, April 11 during AM office hours to enjoy two student bands, a DJ and food at Costachella!
· NEW: Attention to all students interested in participating in ASB next year: There will be two more informational meetings at lunch in Room 41 TODAY, 4/9 and tomorrow 4/10. You must attend one session to find out about important dates.
· Attention Athletes: The last collegiate signing day of the year will be this Wednesday, April 11 at lunch (11:10 am – Office Hours Schedule). If you are signing with a college, please contact Ms. Gardner in the Admin Office to get instructions on submitting your bio and other important details. Submissions must be received by TODAY, Monday, April 9.

· NEW: Attention Club Presidents! Do not forget to turn in your club scholar forms by the end of the day tomorrow, April 10! Turn in to Mrs. Claypoole’s mailbox in the Admin Office.
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
· College Representative Visits In The CCC – If visit is during class please get teacher permission to attend. This is an opportunity to learn about your schools of interest and meet the admission counselors. View all visits and sign up to attend on NAVIANCE.
o WED 4/11 – El Camino College Appointments at 9:30am – 1:00pm. Sign up for a time slot in the CCC.
· Friday, April 13 – BCHD is offering the High School Power of Purpose Program at 12:20pm in the CCC. For students, finding purpose is important as they discover their life goals and make career choices. By participating in school-based purpose activities, students have a new understanding of what their purpose is and why it matters, while also discovering their calling for this stage in their lives in order to be better prepared for the future. UC Berkeley Cal Day – Saturday, April 21 at 9am-4pm. UC Berkeley’s annual open house features over 500 unique events offering a glimpse of life as a Berkeley student. Free Admission. For more information go to: http://calday.berkeley.edu.
· Local Event
LA County Fire Department Recruitment Information Seminar – Wednesday, April 18 at 6:00pm at Gardena One-Stop, 16901 South Western Avenue, Gardena. Learn what it takes to become a part of the Los Angeles County Fire Department and what to expect in the Fire Academy. To attend, you must register at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/recruitment-information-seminar-gardena-registration-44376751057. Bring your confirmation ticket to be admitted. Check-in begins at 5:30pm.
· SoCal Roc is now enrolling for its 9-week courses: Adobe Suite, Business Entrepreneur, Banking & Financial Services, and Event Planning (NEW). Classes begin April 9. Natalie Hansen, the SoCalRoc counselor is available in the CCC every Monday, 8:30am-10:30am. Please sign up in the CCC to meet with her.
