· Come to the Small Auditorium during PM Office Hours TODAY for a presentation on this week’s topic for the student-run speaker series, MAKE IT COUNT, “The Art of Conversation and the Importance of Listening.” Hear our very own Comedy Sportz Team members Molly Desimone, Toby Kamish and Jack Drinker speak on active listening during conversation, and Mr. Chow on “Carefully Considered Communication.” Hope to see you there!
· In case you missed the last one, there will be another information session for student tutors in the Library at lunch on TODAY. Even if you are not currently a tutor, you will learn valuable communication & educational skills. Hope to see you there!

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
· Junior Girls
American Legion Girls State is among the most respected and selective educational programs of government instruction for U.S. high-school students. It is a participatory program in which students become part of the operation of local, county and state government. If selected, students attend the week-long program at Claremont College beginning on June 25. Please come to the CCC for application instructions. Applications must be turned in to the CCC by March 12.
· TONIGHT, 3/7 – “Crafting a College List Using Naviance” at 5:30pm in the CCC. This is part of the College Workshop Series featured in the March CCC Newsletter and is intended for 11th grade students and families. · College Representative Visits In The CCC – If visit is during class please get teacher permission to attend. This is an opportunity to learn about your schools of interest and meet the admission counselors. View all visits and sign up to attend on NAVIANCE.
o TODAY, 3/7 – El Camino College – The El Camino Counselor will be in the CCC on Wednesdays from 9:30am-1:00 pm to go over your Ed Plan and to answer questions. Please sign-up for your appointment in the CCC.
o Thursday, 3/8 –“Where Be The Dragons,” Study Abroad/Gap Year Programs at 12:20pm (lunch).
· Summer Programs:
o BYU Design Week – June 18-23. This exciting, one-week overnight camp is for youth ages 15-18 who love creating and being around other creatives too. Design Week combines three disciplines into one amazing week: Illustration, Graphic Design, and Photography. Professors and design student counselors will help you take your work to the next level.
