FACULTY
· Student of the Year ballots have been placed in your mailboxes. Please submit nominations TODAY.
· Classrooms & Teacher Volunteers needed for Scholar Quiz: The Scholar Quiz runs at lunch Mar. 13, 14, 15, and 16 with the semifinal in the Small Theater at lunch on Mar. 19 and the final in the Auditorium the morning of Mar. 21. SENIORS
· Attention Seniors: Applications will be available starting TODAY to audition to be a Senior Speaker at Graduation or Senior Recognition. You may pick up an application in Ms. Howerton’s Room 16 starting TODAY.
STUDENT INFO
· Interested in pursuing medicine, research or other scientific field? Come by the Biotechnology Information Session TODAY during lunch in Mr. Nodado’s Room 342.
· It’s a Comedy Sportz Seniors vs. Seniors Match! This Friday at 7 pm in the Small Theater for $5. Come watch Costa’s own seniors go against Manhattan Beach’s finest senior citizen team.
· Attention all students: Club Day is next Wednesday, Mar. 7! Don’t forget to bring money.
SPORTS
· Signups for Costa’s Futsal Tournament start on Monday, Mar. 5! Make a team of five (four players with one alternate) and come to the ASB room with $10/team by Wednesday, Mar. 7!

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
· Junior Girls
American Legion Girls State is among the most respected and selective educational programs of government instruction for U.S. high-school students. It is a participatory program in which students become part of the operation of local, county and state government. If selected, students attend the week-long program at Claremont College beginning on June 25. Please come to the CCC for application instructions. Applications must be turned in to the CCC by March 12.
· College Representative Visits In The CCC – If visit is during class please get teacher permission to attend. This is an opportunity to learn about your schools of interest and meet the admission counselors. View all visits and sign up to attend on NAVIANCE.
o Wednesday, 3/7 – El Camino College – The El Camino Counselor will be in the CCC on Wednesdays from 9:30am-1:00 pm to go over your Ed Plan and to answer questions. Please sign-up for your appointment in the CCC.
o Thursday, 3/8 –“Where Be The Dragons,” Study Abroad/Gap Year Programs at 12:20pm (lunch).
· Summer Programs:

· SoCalRoc: SoCalRoc is now enrolling for its 9-week courses: Adobe Suite, Business Entrepreneur, and Banking & Financial Services. Classes begin April 9. Natalie Hansen, the SoCalRoc counselor, is available in the CCC every Monday from 8:30am-10:30am. Please sign-up in the CCC to meet with her.
