TODAY 12/7 – Seniors Graduation Cap, Gown and Announcement orders accepted by Jostens in the CCC from 7:30 am – 2 pm and at Family Night from 6:30 – 8pm in the Library.
FRI 12/8 – Band Concert at 7 pm in the auditorium; Comedy Sportz match at 7 pm in the small theater.
WED 12/13 – Office Hours/2nd period Drill Schedule; Community Coffee with the Principal at 7:30 am in the Admin Office
FRI 12/15 – Winter Choir Concert “This Shining Night” at 7 pm in the Auditorium
MON 12/18 – Late Start Schedule; Pajama Day; Faculty Meeting at 8 am

SENIORS
· Seniors: It’s time to order your caps & gowns, graduation announcements and senior rings. Jostens will be taking orders TODAY from 7:30 am – 2 pm outside of the CCC and during Family Night tonight from 6:30 to 8 pm in the Library. Packets and order forms are available now in the main office.
STUDENT INFO
· Independent Study Athletic (ISA) Students: REMINDER! First Semester Activity Logs AND Coach/Teacher Evaluations are due on or before Dec. 20!
· Help Comedy Sportz give our Adopt-A-Family the best holiday season! When you come to the Comedy Sportz match on Friday in the small theater at 7 pm, you can either pay $5 or bring in three cans of nonperishable food. All proceeds go to our Adopt-A-Family!
· Do you like live music? Come see classical guitarist Felix Kellaway play with the MBMS Madrigal Singers and Joel Ruben on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 7 pm in the Mira Costa Theater. Tickets are $20 at the Mira Costa website (click here) or at benefit.mbrotary.org. Your donations will go to the Sandy Casey Scholarship Fund in memory of Sandy Casey.
· Stressed about finals? Swing by Room 20 TODAY at lunch to ask Link Crew Leaders for tips on studying, prioritizing, de-stressing, and other finals-related topics. We are here to help! All are welcome!
· Please submit your Poetry Out Loud applications to Ms. Sieker in Room 44 by Thursday, Dec. 21. The contest will be held in the small theatre on Thursday, Jan. 18 at 7pm. While the judges tabulate, there will be a community open mic where any person in the audience can share a poem—we hope you can join us for this night of live poetry!
CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS
· Interested in helping lead the conservative movement on the Mira Costa Campus? Do you want to get speakers like Dinesh D’Souza to come to speak to our school and community? Join YAF on Thursdays in Mr. Geczi’s Room 225. Be a leader.
· Attention all clubs: If you have not turned in our club paperwork, it must be turned in by Friday, Dec. 8 if you want to be considered a club on campus.
· Mira Costa Disaster Relief Club meeting and clothes drive will be held this TODAY, Thursday, Dec. 7 in Room 137 in the Math and Science Building.
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
· SENIORS: Walk-In Application Help is available in the CCC! We continue to have an open-door policy every day and are happy to answer your questions. In addition, we have designated Mondays and Wednesdays from 3 – 6pm specifically for application and essay help. We look forward to seeing you in the CCC!
· College Representative Visits In The CCC – If visit is during class please get teacher permission to attend. This is an opportunity to learn about your schools of interest and meet the admission counselors. View all visits and sign-up to attend on NAVIANCE.

· The CCC is hosting sessions to review A-G Requirements, the high school timeline and summer opportunities. Please visit our CCC Calendar, (MCHS Website→College Tab →CCC Calendar→Click on the date you’d like to attend) and sign up. Each session is limited to 25 seats, and only a limited number of sessions will be held!
· SoCalRoc: SoCal Roc is now enrolling for the Spring 2018 semester. Classes begin January 29. The SoCalRoc Counselor is available in the CCC every Monday from 8:30 – 10:30 am. Please sign up in the CCC to meet with her or drop in for more information about SoCalRoc class offerings.
