STUDENT INFO
· Thanksgiving Noontime Theatre is Wednesday during AM Office Hours in Room 1! Come see festive scenes from the drama classes.
· If you think you have what it takes to captivate a crowd, you should consider competing in Poetry Out Loud. Thursday, Jan. 18 is the date of the recitation competition. You’re invited to perform or attend—and it’s free admission! You can request more info or an application from your English teacher, or stop by Room 44 and have a chat with Ms. Sieker.
· Come to the Computer Science Gallery Walk during AM and PM office hours on Wednesday 11/15 in rooms 111, 112 and 116. Playing the piano, shooting a target, skateboarding or playing video games are just a few of the things you can see and interact with on the computer screen when you walk through the classrooms. See you there!
SPORTS
· Join the Costa Badminton Team! Tryouts will be on January 16 & 17 from 4 – 5:30 pm at the Manhattan Beach Badminton Club.
SENIORS

CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS
· Liberal or conservative? We have them all. Come to Political Debate Club on Mondays and Fridays in Mr. Piper’s Room 203!
· Come to Drama Club every Wednesday during lunch in Room 1 for important announcements on things happening in the Drama/Tech Department.
· Why did the chicken cross the road? Because it was going to Improv Club every Tuesday during lunch in Room 1.
· Join Charity: Water Club on Mondays (TODAY) at lunch in Room 102 (next to the Cafeteria) to help bring clean water to undeveloped countries. There will be cookies!
· Interested in joining the Costa Badminton Team? Learn more at Badminton Club. Meetings are every Tuesday in Room 332 at lunch.
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
· Seniors – Walk-In Application Help is available in the CCC! We continue to have an open-door policy every day and are happy to answer your questions. In addition we have designated Mondays and Wednesdays from 3 – 6 pm specifically for application and essay help. We look forward to seeing you in the CCC!
· The CCC is hosting sessions to review A-G Requirements, the high school timeline and summer opportunities. Please visit our CCC Calendar, (MCHS Website→College Tab →CCC Calendar) and sign up. Each session is limited to 25 seats, and only a limited number of sessions will be held!
· College Representative Visits In The CCC – If visit is during class please get teacher permission to attend. This is an opportunity to learn about your schools of interest and meet the admission counselors. View all visits and sign-up to attend on NAVIANCE.

· SoCalRoc: The SoCalRoc Counselor is available in the CCC every Monday from 8:30 – 10:30 am. Please sign up in the CCC to meet with her or drop in for more information about SoCalRoc class offerings.
