· NEED COMMUNITY SERVICE? Lunches with Love is collecting bagged hygiene kits AND holding our first-ever TOY DRIVE in partnership with Union Rescue Mission. They have an unprecedented number of women, children and families, and are in dire need of unwrapped toys, beauty products and gift cards for all ages including teens. SPORTS
· Boys’ Volleyball tryout for Freshmen & Sophomores only and other students who missed last week’s tryouts because of a fall sport conflict: TODAY (Monday) from 2-4 pm in the Gym.
· Boys’ Basketball tryouts will be held from 7-9 pm at Mira Costa TONIGHT. If you are a junior or senior interested in trying out or if you cannot make it today, please contact Coach Amaral directly at [email protected].
CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS
· Come to Drama Club every Wednesday in Room 1 during lunch for announcements on new and exciting things happening in the Drama/Tech Department.
· Time Magazine says, “Going to Improv Club during lunch in room 1 every Tuesday can actually improve your health!... I mean, no studies actually prove that, so I’m just guessing at this point.”
· Drone Club: Come to Room 242 to learn about building and flying drones.
· If you are not a part of your school’s Animal Shelter Club, are you kitten me right meow? Come to Room 15 during lunch on Fridays to help animals find their forever homes.
· South Bay Food Initiative: Come to the club and care for our community. Join us at the first meeting of the South Bay Food Initiative starting Tuesday, Nov. 7 in Mr. Piper’s Room 203.
· Want to be a published writer, photographer, or artist? Mira Costa’s Reflections Literary Magazine meets on Mondays (TODAY) at lunch in Room 207. We’d love to have you!
