FACULTY
· Attention all staff members: The scholar breakfast nomination forms were placed in your mailboxes Monday afternoon! Please turn them in by the end of the day on Monday, Nov. 6.
· Attention faculty and students: This week is double dress-up week. Be sure to dress up on Thursday for Redondo Nerd Day.
STUDENT INFO
· Battle of the Beach! Happening this Friday, Nov.3 at Waller Stadium. The big game vs. Redondo starts at 7 pm. We will be recognizing our Seniors from football, band, dance and cheer before the game at 6 pm. Come out and support your Mustangs and seniors.
· Me So Hungry Food Truck will be on campus at Waller Stadium on Thursday, Nov. 2 starting at 4:00 pm for the Freshman Football Game vs. Redondo Union. Stop by and grab a burger or slider, and root the players on!
· Come check out a “Monster” Halloween Art Show in Room 60 at lunch. Open all this week.
· Tickets for The Diviners are on pre-sale NOW in the student store and online! $10 for students and seniors, $12 for adults.

· Art Night: Come support the visual arts this Friday. Buy original artwork from current and alumni students, make crafts, and take a photo in our hand-painted photo booth. All friends and family are welcome. Free to attend, but bring cash for purchases. Don’t miss out; join us this Friday, Nov. 3 in the quad outside of Room 109 from 5-7 pm.
· Attention all students who are starting a new club: The deadline for submitting all papers is Nov. 3.
SENIORS

SPORTS
· Boys’ Basketball tryouts will be held from 7-9 pm at Mira Costa Monday, Nov. 6. If you are a junior or senior interested in trying out or if you cannot make the Nov. 6 date, please contact Coach Amaral directly at [email protected].
· Boys’ Indoor Volleyball will be Thursday, 11/2 from 2-4 pm for Freshmen & Sophomores, and 3 – 5 pm for Juniors and Seniors and all returning varsity. Tryouts continue Friday, 11/3, times TBD. Additional tryout on Monday, 11/5 for Freshmen only, time TBD.
CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS
· South Bay Food Initiative: Come to the club and care for our community. Join us at the first meeting of the South Bay Food Initiative starting Tuesday, Nov. 7 in Mr. Piper’s Room 203.
· Come to Solar Cup Team meeting TODAY at lunch! This meeting is mandatory if you are going to the building workshop this weekend.
· Link Leaders: Please check your email and sign up for a lunch meeting with Ms. Hutchinson on the google doc. All leaders must attend one of the five offered meetings. Thanks!
· Want to be a published writer, photographer, or artist? Mira Costa’s Reflections Literary Magazine meets on Mondays at lunch in Room 207. We’d love to have you!
· Come to Together We Tutor on Wednesday in Room 19 at lunch to tutor underprivileged kids and earn community service hours.
· Come to Drama Club every Wednesday (TODAY) during lunch in Room 1 for announcements on new and exciting things happening in the Drama/Tech Department.
· Interested in joining the Costa Badminton Team? Come to Badminton Club on Tuesdays at lunch in Room 332 to learn more!
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
· College Representative Visits In The CCC – If visit is during class please get teacher permission to attend. This is an opportunity to learn about your schools of interest and meet the admission counselors. View all visits and sign-up to attend on NAVIANCE.

· SoCal Roc is now enrolling for its 2nd quarter 9 week classes: Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), Banking and Financial Services, and Business Entrepreneur. Classes begin November 6. Come to the CCC to sign up to speak with a SoCal Roc counselor and learn more about the interactive Career Technical classes that we offer.
· Local Events – Art Center College of Design Open House Sunday, November 5th, 1:30-4:30pm at both the Hillside Campus (1700 Lida St., Pasadena) and the South Campus (870 S. Raymond Ave., Pasadena).
