FACULTY
· The Hispanic Heritage Assembly has been rescheduled for Wednesday, November 1 during 2nd period.
STUDENT INFO
· Do you appreciate the visual arts? If so, you are invited to attend Fiona Dowdee’s very own art gallery, which features original pieces by her. Come support your fellow classmate’s art in Room 60 (The Art Gallery) from today through Oct. 6. There will be FREE cookies! See you there!
· The CSF Fall Membership Drive will continue through Friday, Oct. 6. Please come by Room 243 for more information and to pick up an application, if you are eligible. CSF dues should be paid at the ASB Webstore or by Cash or Check at the Student Store.
CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS
· If you keep scrolling and don’t go to Improv Club every Tuesday durinig lunch in Room 1, Old Man Johnny’s ghost will haunt you, and you’ll have bad luck for 30 years.
· Act for Refugees: Come to Mrs. Nielsen’s Room 250 to support and bring awareness to the Syrian Refugee Crisis. See you there!
· Come to Drama Club every Wednesday during lunch in Room 1 for announcements on new and exciting things happening in the Drama/Tech Department.
· Interested in helping lead the conservative movement on the Mira Costa campus? Do you want to get speakers like Dinesh D’Souza or even Ben Shapiro to come speak to our school and community? Join the Young America’s Foundation on Thursdays in Mr. Geczi’s Room 225. Be a leader.
· Love Science? Come to Science Olympiad in Room 352, Mr. Locke’s Room, Wednesdays at lunch!
· There is no “I” in team, but there is “U” in volunteer! Come to Interact Club this Tuesday, Oct. 3, in Bartlett’s Room 232 for fun volunteer opportunities with the Manhattan Beach Rotary Club.
· The first step in finding common ground involves discussion, disagreement, and compromise. Are you interested in bipartisan debate? Come to the Political Debate Club, now on Mondays (TODAY) AND Fridays in Mr. Piper’s Room 203.
· If you feel strongly about defending democracy, come to Young Democrats Club on Mondays in Room 343 to prepare for our upcoming debate with the Young Republicans!
· Happy Mental Health Awareness Week! Please show your solidarity with those who struggle with mental health issues.
· Come to Richstone Club on Wednesday in Mr. Frigola’s Room 75 at lunch.
· Do you have an interest in the future of computer technology? From new innovations in software development to artificial intelligence? If so, then come to the Future of Computer Science Club in Room 116 Tuesdays during lunch! Everyone is welcome!
