STUDENT INFO
· JUNIORS! Come learn about the English Department’s Senior course offerings: English 12 CP, including Senior Seminars, and English 12 AP. An info session will be held in the small theater, Wed., April 5 during PM Office Hours.
· ATTENTION FRESHMEN & SOPHOMORES who are testing for English honors or accelerated 2017-2018. See your English teacher to find out your room assignments. They are also posted near the door to the admin building. You must attend the test session for which you already signed up. Bring pens and lined paper to the test.
· Interested in photography and awesome prizes? Submit your best photos to [email protected] to be a part of La Vista’s annual Photo Contest! Submit all photos by Friday, April 7.
· Come watch the annual Costa Boys’ Volleyball Alumni Game at 6 pm TONIGHT in Fisher Gym! Free El Gringo for the first 200 in attendance. Costa varsity will face former Costa players, including Olympians, AVP pros, and college All-Americans.
· MB PARKS & REC TO OFFER FILMMAKING CLASS FOR KIDS Registration is now open for an 8-week Filmmaking class through Manhattan Beach’s Parks and Recreation. Classes will be held Wednesday afternoons and are for children ages 7-13. For more information click here or visit www.CityMB.info/Registration.
· Community Service Opportunity: Come log some hours helping out at the Grand View Fair on Sunday, April 30 from 11 am – 3 pm at Grand View Elementary. We need volunteers to look after kids in the bouncies, on the obstacle course and to help in the arts and crafts booth. · Applications for the 2017-2018 National Honor Society are now available on the school website. If you have specific questions about the application or process, please see Mrs. Cabrera in Room 45.
SENIORS
· Graduation Speech/Performance Applications are due this TODAY to Ms. Howerton in Room 16.
· The Annual Senior Field Photo will take place on April 5 during PM Office Hours. Please meet on the field at the beginning of Office Hours – this will only take 20 minutes if everyone is there on time! Congrats, Seniors!
CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS
· Interested in CyberSecurity? Want to learn how to defend against hackers, design networks, and compete nationally? Come check out CyberPatriot Club TODAY at lunch in Ms. Weaver’s Room 111. Training opportunity for new and returning members scheduled TONIGHT from 4-6 pm in the math and science building room (241). Teams for 2017-18 season will be finalized in June, so don’t wait until fall or you’ll miss out!
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
· Career Speaker Series: Professionals in various industries will visit the CCC to speak about their careers and the path they took to get there. This is a great opportunity to learn about different careers and the steps you need to take to gain opportunities for internships and to learn about your future dream job. Please sign up on Naviance or in the CCC. All grade levels are welcome! Watch the bulletin for additional speakers.

· El Camino Counseling Appointments – A counselor from El Camino College will be in the CCC on Wednesday afternoons. If you are planning on attending El Camino in the fall, sign up for your appointment in the CCC.
· Featured Program – West Coast Sports Medicine Summer Mentoring Camps For students interested in sports medicine or any aspect of the medical field. This is an opportunity to learn and expand your knowledge of sports medicine and explore the medical field. Two sessions will be offered in the MCHS Cafeteria: Camp 1 (2-day camp) – Saturday, July 15 (9:00am-5:00pm) and Sunday, July 16 (9:00am-3:00pm); Camp 2 (2-day camp) – Saturday, July 22 (9:00am-5:00pm) and Sunday, July 23 (9:00am-3:00pm).
