STUDENT INFO           

·      Tickets still available for Sadie Hawkins Dance & Casino Night this Saturday, Mar. 25, 7:30-11 pm at Embassy Suites in El Segundo. Come beat Dr. Dale at poker! Tickets available (MCHS students only) at the Student Store through Friday.

·      Hey, Mustangs! Your Boys’ Volleyball Team will be handing out Diddy Reese cookies in the quad TODAY at lunch. Come out and support their game vs. Loyola this Friday at UCLA!

·      Applications are now being accepted for the nationally award-winning Mustang Morning News Staff. Visit bit.ly/JoinMMN.

·      Biotechnology Applications are out! Freshmen, come by room 352A to pick up an application ASAP – Deadline to submit is Friday, April 14! Students who complete this 3-year pathway will graduate Mira Costa High School with experience and materials that rival that of a college graduate with a science major. They will enter undergraduate labs well equipped to perform virtually any technical application and/or they will be competitive applicants for paid internships and jobs in biotechnology. Swing by Room 352A during PM Office Hours on Wednesday, March 29 for more information.

CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS

·      Join Mira Costa’s BSU TODAY during AM office hours to hear Dr. Alison Jefferson give a speech on the history of Bruce’s Beach! The speech will be in Room 330 in the math and science building.

·      All MCHS students are welcome to join the Mira Costa High School team at the Richstone Pier to Pier Walkathon on April 29! Join at tinyurl.com/RichstoneWalk17.

·      Interested in riding BMX, Mountain bikes, or do you just like riding bikes in general? Come check out Bike Club in Room 234 on Wednesdays (TODAY).

SENIORS

·      Seniors: Jostens will be delivering and distributing your ordered graduation announcement orders on Thursday, Mar. 23 during snack and lunch in the lobby of the auditorium.

·      URGENT: Any senior who has not ordered a cap & gown, please turn in your orders on March 23 to the Jostens rep. Cost is $43.50.

SPORTS

·      Come cheer on the MIRA COSTA BOYS’ TENNIS Varsity and JV teams THIS AFTERNOON versus Arcadia at the Costa courts from 3pm to 5pm. Both JV and Varsity will be playing across all courts at that time. Hope to see you there!

·      Please come out and watch the 3 v 3 basketball championship. The game begins at lunch TODAY in the gym!

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER

o   Wednesday, Mar. 29Stress Reduction Workshop at 12:26pm (PM Office Hours). Join us in the CCC for a relaxation session with guided meditations and breathing exercises as well as Gio (the therapy dog).

·      Career Speaker Series Professionals in various industries will visit the CCC to speak about their careers and the path they took to get there. This is a great opportunity to learn about different careers and the steps you need to take to gain opportunities for internships and to land your dream job. Please sign-up on Naviance or in the CCC. ·      El Camino Counseling Appointments – A counselor from El Camino College will be in the CCC on Wednesday afternoons. If you are planning on attending El Camino in the fall, sign up for your appointment in the CCC.

·      SoCal Roc is now enrolling for its 9-week courses. Classes begin Monday, April 10. Sign up now to speak with a SCROC advisor and pick up an application in the Career Center.
