TUES., 3/14 – 11th Grade (Current) Parent Night at 7 pm in the MPR
WED., 3/15 (Office Hours Schedule) – Core Values Assembly in the Mustang Mall at 11:10 am
THUR., 3/16 – 10th Grade (Current) Parent Night at 7 pm in the Auditorium;
Dessert Theatre in the small theater at 7 pm – tickets are $7 at the door.
SAT., 3/18 – Costa Pride Day from 9 am – 12 pm; meet at the admin office.
MON., 3/20 – 4th Quarter begins
TUES., 3/21 – 9th Grade (Current) Parent Night at 7 pm in the MPR
WED., 3/22 – (Office Hours Schedule/Drill 2nd period) Cathedral Concert at 7 pm in the Auditorium Lobby
FRI., 3/24 – SUN., 4/2 – All Media Student Art Show at the MB Art Center
STUDENT INFO
· It’s not too late to be in the Student Art Show! All students are encouraged to participate; you do not have to be in an art class. Entries can be any medium (drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, fashion design, etc.)> See Mrs. Heredia in Room 62 for more info and official entry form. Deadline to submit work is Friday, March 17.
· March Madness! Lunches with Love is giving one hour of community service for 5 toiletry kits that contain a minimum of 6 items (toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, shampoo, deodorant, combs/brushes, feminine hygiene products, razor, shaving cream) for the month of March ONLY at our next delivery on Sunday, Mar. 19. · Are you interested in taking sophomore block classes? There will be a meeting in Room 207 at lunch and/or AM office hours if you are thinking about taking English/history sophomore block.
· Sign-ups for the 3 on 3 March Madness Basketball Tournament have SOLD OUT! Games will begin TODAY. Please be ready to play in the Gym at the beginning of lunch. The bracket will be posted in front of the ASB room.
· The most popular 9th through 12th grade dance has arrived. Everyone come to the MCHS Student Store to get tickets for the Sadie Hawkins Dance on March 25 at the Embassy Suites Hotel. Ticket vouchers are also available on the ASB Webstore.
CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS
· Come to Children’s Hospital LA Club on Mondays (TODAY) at lunch in Room 22. We will be discussing our upcoming bake sale.
SPORTS
· Come to the Mira Costa Dance Team’s pre-audition workshop on Thursday, Mar. 23 from 4-6 pm in Room 81 to meet some of the varsity Dance Team members, learn routines, and gain important information about auditions.
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER

o Wednesday, Mar. 29 – Stress Reduction Workshop at 12:26pm (PM Office Hours). Join us in the CCC for a relaxation session with guided meditations and breathing exercises as well as Gio (the therapy dog).
· Career Speaker Series Professionals in various industries will visit the CCC to speak about their careers and the path they took to get there. This is a great opportunity to learn about different careers and the steps you need to take to gain opportunities for internships and to land your dream job. Please sign-up on Naviance or in the CCC. · Tried and True Tutoring will offer a mock ACT/SAT tests in the MCHS Library
o The Mock ACT will be held on Saturday, March 25 9:00am – 1:30pm. The Score Back Session will be held on Wednesday, April 5 at 12:30 (PM Office Hours) in the CCC.
o The Mock SAT will be held on Saturday, April 1 at 9:00am – 1:30pm. The score back session will be held on Wednesday, April 5 at 9:30am (AM Office Hours) in the CCC.
