STUDENT INFO
· Interested in an adventure? Come to Belize next year during Spring Break 2018 with Mr. Chow. Climb pyramids, zip line through the jungle and swim with sharks! See Mr. Chow in Room 47 for more info.
· Come to the small theater at PM office hours to see TEDx Mira Costa. This week’s speakers will address student mental health on Wednesday, 3/8. Don’t miss it!

· The 3 on 3 March Madness Basketball Tournament is back! Sign-ups are $10 per team beginning on Tuesday, 3/7 until Friday, 3/10 in the ASB Room.

CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS
· Come get community service hours with the oldest club on campus, S-Club – we’re an all-girls community service club that meets on Mondays (TODAY) in Room16!
· Art Club: Swing by Room 62 during office hours this Wednesday, March 8 if you’d like to learn watercolor tricks and tips. Free cookies will be provided.
SPORTS
· MCHS Cheerleading tryouts for the 2017-2018 season are happening soon. Come to the mandatory tryout meeting in the MCHS Drama Room 1 at 7pm on Tuesday, Mar. 7. · El Camino Bound Students – After you take your ECC assessment test, your next step towards priority registration is to meet with an ECC Counselor. There will be an ECC Counselor available in the CCC to meet with you on Wednesdays from 12:20pm – 2:40pm. Reserve your appointment date and time in the CCC.
· Career Speaker Series Professionals in various industries will visit the CCC to speak about their careers and the path they took to get there. This is a great opportunity to learn about different careers and the steps you need to take to gain opportunities for internships and to land your dream job. Please sign-up on Naviance or in the CCC. · Featured Program: Aerospace Engineering at Texas A & M
Camp Soar 2017 Summer Opportunities in Aerospace Research – A six-day summer camp designed to expose upcoming high school juniors and seniors with an interest in aerospace engineering to the research and facilities at Texas A & M University’s Department of Aerospace Engineering. During the week, students will be able to explore the field through hands-on design-build projects of airplanes, rockets, helicopters or air ships. Camp fee, including participation, housing and meals, is $600. There will be a limited number of partial scholarships available for those with a demonstrated need.
